Niagara Street
This 1,600-square-foot downtown Toronto condo was given a complete overhaul to ensure every inch worked hard for its owners. Designed as a pied-à-terre in the city for a newly retired couple, the focus was on functionality, flow, and creating spaces that genuinely support how they live.
The layout was carefully reconfigured to improve usability and comfort: a former powder room was converted into a full three-piece guest bath, the kitchen was redesigned to be chef-worthy and central to the home, and the primary ensuite was transformed into a true retreat. Thoughtful planning allowed space for a dedicated guest room, two dogs, and a substantial record collection - without the home ever feeling crowded or overdesigned.
The interiors were intentionally layered to feel urban yet warm. The clients’ art collection became the natural starting point, guiding material choices and spatial decisions throughout the home. Pieces gathered over years of travel, including Moroccan rugs, were woven in to add depth and personality, resulting in a refined, highly personal residence that balances practicality with character.
