Starting a redesign and renovation can feel intimidating. We get involved at the beginning of large-scale renovations and can help you assemble your design team (including your architect and builder). 

Having the right team behind your project is the most important factor in a smooth and enjoyable process. There are a lot of decisions to be made, and a lot of moving parts. 

When you work with MCD, there is a high level of collaboration. We work closely with you, our clients, to create the perfect space for your life. We also work closely with the team assembled to make our designs come to life. We only take on full service home renovation and decorating projects. Our clients value a high level of service, and completion.

How It Works

  • 2 - 4 WEEKS

    During the initial phase of our design process, we collaborate closely with you to define the project's scope. We work on existing floor plans and propose layouts, creating custom mood boards to establish the desired look and feel for all renovated spaces.

  • 2 - 6 WEEKS

    In the second phase, we delve into the intricate details of the design. This includes sourcing specific materials, finishes, and furnishings for the project. We develop drawings for elevations and millwork, along with 3D renderings where applicable.

  • SCOPE DEPENDENT

    After the design has been decided upon, we commence the process of obtaining vendor quotes, creating finish schedules, and assembling construction packages. We finalize the budget and confirm all selections.

  • SCOPE DEPENDENT

    Working closely with our assembled team, we place orders, schedule deliveries, and ensure the contractor is well-equipped for the project, following a collaborative work-back schedule. Throughout the construction period, we conduct site check-ins and remain available to address any unexpected challenges.

  • 2 - 7 DAYS

    Upon completion of construction, we conduct a post-construction clean-up before proceeding to install all furnishings and finishes. Our goal is to create a move in ready space for you to love and enjoy!

  • Of course! We love mixing old and new. If you have pieces you love, we will do our best to incorporate them into the design. We'll give you our advice if something isn't working, but the final decision is always yours.

  • Either! If you already have a team in place or an established relationship with a contractor, we're more than happy to collaborate with them. Alternatively, we can assist you in assembling the design dream team for your project.

  • We typically book 3-6 months in advance, but exceptions can be made, so don't hesitate to inquire :)

  • We structure our fees on an hourly basis, which we find works best for our clients as they are only billed for the actual work completed. Our billing is done in 15-minute increments, with rates varying based on the team member performing the work. This approach allows us to allocate the right resources to each task, ensuring fair and efficient billing for our clients.
